Recognition highlights FXN-M200, FireXNull's microcapsule-based localized fire suppression additive.
FireXNull, Inc. has been named a finalist in the 2026 TechConnect Critical Technology Spotlights for FXN-M200, its microcapsule-based localized fire suppression additive.
The recognition is presented by TechConnect, a division of Advanced Technology International (ATI), and honors innovation with the potential to help solve the nation's most critical challenges. FireXNull presented FXN-M200 to the Spotlight review panel at Defense TechConnect 2026 in National Harbor, Maryland.
About FXN-M200
FXN-M200 is a dry microencapsulated fire suppression additive for manufacturers of coatings, polymers, adhesives, composites, and other engineered materials. Its microcapsules contain FK-5-1-12, an electrically non-conductive clean agent, and are designed to release the agent when exposed to heat at their activation threshold. The goal is to bring localized fire suppression closer to the component being protected, without power, sensors, or piping.
FXN-M200 is currently available for technical evaluation. Formulation, loading level, and performance are determined by each manufacturer's lab for its specific material and application. FireXNull technologies are designed as supplemental, localized fire suppression and do not replace code-required fire protection systems.
Why This Recognition Matters
The finalist designation brings outside recognition to FireXNull's material-integration approach: making localized fire suppression a functional property of the materials and components that need protection, rather than only a separate system installed around them.
It also opens new conversations with manufacturers, OEMs, research organizations, and government stakeholders evaluating advanced approaches to fire protection in electrical, energy, industrial, and defense applications.
