Where to install FXN-S1
One FXN-S1 per compatible electrical outlet or switch box gang. A gang is one outlet or switch mounting position.
Choose one upper-left OR upper-right location in each gang. The mounting surface must be clean, completely dry and flat, with full adhesive contact.
Full contact. Clear space.
Do not place over a raised rib, bend the sticker, leave lifted edges or gaps, stack stickers, or put both stickers in one gang.
Keep clear of wires, exposed conductors, terminals, connections and device parts. Do not obstruct grounding, device operation, cover fit or required electrical clearances. Do not install if space is inadequate or the device or cover must be forced into place.
For enclosed indoor outlet and switch boxes only. Do not use in open air, where condensation is present, or where normal sustained ambient temperature exceeds 149°F (65°C).
How to install FXN-S1

Electrical shock hazard
Turn OFF power at the circuit breaker and verify the circuit and equipment are de-energized before opening the box. Never install, remove or adjust FXN-S1 while energized. Keep power OFF until reassembly is complete.
Wear general-purpose work gloves and safety glasses with side shields. These gloves do not provide electrical-shock protection. For workplace installations, follow applicable electrical safe-work and lockout/tagout procedures.
Turn off & verify power
Turn OFF the circuit breaker. Use an appropriate contact voltage tester according to its instructions; check it on a known live source before and after testing. If you cannot verify safely, contact a licensed electrician.
Open the electrical box
Remove the cover plate and mounting screws. Carefully move the device forward without straining or damaging the wires.
Clean, position & apply
Select a flat upper-left or upper-right area with adequate clearance. Clean and completely dry it, then peel and apply one FXN-S1 fully flat per compatible gang. Do not cut, bend, fold or otherwise modify the sticker.
Press & reinstall
Press the entire sticker firmly for 10 seconds. Confirm full adhesion and clearance. Secure the device and cover without force, then restore power. Record the installation and replacement dates.
After activation & service life
Stop use. Inspect. Replace.
After known or suspected activation, or signs of overheating or fire, stop using the affected outlet or switch. If safe, turn OFF power at the circuit breaker. Activation may not be externally visible.
Before restoring normal use, have a qualified electrician inspect the device, wiring and connections and correct the underlying electrical problem. Replace FXN-S1 after any known or suspected activation. Never reuse an activated, removed or damaged sticker.
Warning signs can include unusual heat, burning odor, smoke, discoloration, buzzing or crackling, visible arcing, or abnormal device operation.
Recommended replacement
Up to 5 years after installation under the specified installation and environmental conditions. Replace sooner if activated or suspected of activation, damaged, removed, loose, obstructed or visibly abnormal. Single use—do not reuse.
Check during service
Whenever the box is opened for service, inspect with power OFF and the circuit verified de-energized. Check full adhesion, flatness, clearance, visible condition and the recorded replacement date.
Storage & installation window
Keep in original sealed packaging for up to 2 years from manufacture and install by the package date. Store at −40°F to 149°F (−40°C to 65°C), at no more than 80% RH, non-condensing. Protect from sunlight, UV exposure, moisture and heat.
Storage and replacement intervals are maintenance guidance. They do not extend the one-year limited warranty from delivery or guarantee fire-suppression performance.
