FireXNull Showcases Electrical Fire Protection Technology at NECA 2026

October 4-7, 2026 | Las Vegas, Nevada | Booth #4905

FireXNull exhibited at the NECA 2026 Convention & Trade Show at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, as part of the Showstopper Showcase. The event brought together electrical contractors, engineers, distributors, manufacturers, facility professionals, and leaders from across the electrical industry.

At Booth #4905, the FireXNull team introduced visitors to localized, passive, heat-activated fire suppression for compatible enclosed electrical applications, and connected directly with the professionals who work every day with outlet and switch boxes, panels, and enclosures.

Bringing Fire Protection Closer to the Source

Electrical fire risk can begin inside small enclosed spaces that are normally hidden from view. Loose connections, damaged components, high-resistance connections, and wiring issues can generate heat inside outlet boxes, switch boxes, panels, and other enclosures.

FireXNull develops passive, heat-activated fire suppression products that add a localized, supplemental layer of protection in compatible enclosed applications. They operate without external power, wiring, or sensors, and release an electrically non-conductive clean agent directly where heat builds. FireXNull products do not replace breakers, alarms, extinguishers, sprinklers, or other required fire and life-safety systems.

Featuring the FXN-S1 Outlet Guard

A key product at the booth was the FXN-S1 Outlet Guard, a compact 0.75 x 0.75 in heat-activated fire suppression sticker designed for installation inside compatible indoor electrical outlet and switch boxes.

FXN-S1 is intended to provide supplemental, early-stage fire suppression within its documented application environment. It does not prevent electrical faults and does not replace proper electrical installation, inspection, breakers, AFCI/GFCI protection, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, or code-required fire and life-safety systems.

Correct Installation Matters

A recurring theme at NECA was correct application. Electrical boxes vary in depth, geometry, available mounting space, wiring configuration, and device type. Current FXN-S1 installation guidance calls for:

  • Turning power off and verifying the circuit is de-energized before opening the box
  • A clean, dry, flat mounting surface
  • Adequate clearance, with no interference with wires, exposed conductors, terminals, grounding, device operation, cover fit, or required electrical clearances
  • One FXN-S1 per compatible gang in multi-gang boxes
  • Replacement five years after installation, or after activation or damage

Getting these details right is what makes localized protection effective, and it is why FireXNull focuses on clear, application-specific guidance.

Conversations With Electrical Professionals

Discussions at Booth #4905 covered outlet and switch box applications, retrofit and new construction, box geometry, multi-gang installations, installation clearance, contractor workflows, property and facility maintenance, product education, and distribution opportunities.

Electrical contractors and electricians are an especially important audience for FireXNull. They influence product selection, installation quality, and project-level adoption, and their feedback shows how new products can fit into real workflows.

One Message for Homeowners, a Technical Conversation for Professionals

For homeowners, FXN-S1 is simple to explain: an additional localized layer of fire protection installed inside compatible electrical boxes behind outlets and switches.

For electricians and contractors, the conversation goes deeper into application fit, box geometry, placement, clearance, gang count, de-energized installation, and replacement guidance. FireXNull supports both audiences with clear consumer information and technical resources for professionals.

Beyond Outlet and Switch Boxes

FireXNull's portfolio also covers larger enclosed electrical and electronic applications. FXN Rope is designed for qualified larger enclosures and can be considered for applications such as switchgear, panelboards, breaker panels, industrial control panels, network and server cabinets, EV charging equipment cabinets, and certain energy-storage electrical enclosures.

This product architecture supports FireXNull's long-term work to deliver localized, supplemental fire protection across residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and OEM markets.

Key Takeaways From NECA 2026

  • Education is essential. Emerging fire suppression technology must be explained clearly and accurately.
  • Application fit matters. Every enclosure is different, and correct placement, clearance, quantity, and installation conditions are critical.
  • Professional feedback matters. Electricians and contractors show how new products fit real-world workflows.
  • Distribution matters. Strong relationships with electrical distributors, contractors, retailers, and industry partners support broader access.

Continuing the Conversation

FireXNull thanks everyone who visited Booth #4905 and shared technical questions, product feedback, application ideas, and industry perspectives. The conversations that began in Las Vegas will continue with electrical contractors, distributors, builders, property managers, facility teams, electrical manufacturers, OEM partners, and engineering organizations.
