Passive, heat-activated fire suppression for enclosed electrical and electronic equipment. FireXNull FXN Stickers use microcapsule technology to release FK-5-1-12 clean agent when the sticker reaches its activation temperature. Installed inside a compatible enclosure, they add localized, supplemental protection near potential ignition sources without requiring sensors, wiring, or external power.

Why Choose FXN Sticker?

  • Automatic activation: Heat-activated at 248°F ± 9°F (120°C ± 5°C).
  • Designed for electrical enclosures: For compatible control panels, distribution boards, automation cabinets, and enclosed electronic equipment.
  • Simple installation: Adhesive-backed, non-pressurized format for new equipment and retrofits.
  • Clean agent: Uses electrically non-conductive FK-5-1-12, with no residue after activation in intended use.
  • Multiple sizes: Choose a model based on enclosure volume or select the cut-to-size FXN-SA4 universal sheet.

Choose the Right FXN Sticker

Use enclosure volume to choose the appropriate model. For intermediate volumes, select the next larger model. The universal FXN-SA4 sheet can be cut to a corresponding model size, following the official printed cutting grid and sizing instructions.

ModelNominal enclosure volume
FXN-S2020 L (0.7 ft³)
FXN-S3030 L (1.0 ft³)
FXN-S5050 L (1.8 ft³)
FXN-S6565 L (2.3 ft³)
FXN-SA4Universal sheet, cut to an appropriate model size

For smaller indoor outlet and switch boxes, see the dedicated FXN-S1 Outlet Guard. For vented, forced-air or unusually leaky enclosures, contact FireXNull for application review.

Typical Applications

  • Industrial control cabinets and automation equipment
  • Electrical panelboards and distribution enclosures
  • Server, network and telecom cabinets
  • EV charging infrastructure electrical cabinets
  • OEM machinery electrical enclosures

Installation & Replacement

De-energize equipment before installation and follow the applicable electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures. Attach the sticker to a clean, dry top interior surface with unobstructed exposure to rising heat. Press the entire adhesive footprint firmly; do not bend, fold, puncture or cover the sticker. For FXN-SA4, cut only according to the official model sizing grid and instructions.

Care: Record installation and replacement dates. Inspect periodically for adhesion, obstruction, peeling, damage, or unusual appearance. Recommended replacement is five years after installation under specified conditions, or earlier after activation or if damaged or abnormal. The device is single-use.

Supplemental protection only: FXN Sticker does not prevent electrical faults and does not replace properly designed and maintained electrical equipment, circuit protection, smoke detection, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, or code-required fire and life-safety systems. Use only within its documented enclosure and installation limits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does FXN Sticker need power or sensors?

No. It activates from heat at the sticker and needs no electrical connection, software, or external power.

Which model should I select?

Choose by enclosure volume using the sizing table. Select the next larger model when the volume falls between sizes. Consult FireXNull for enclosures with vents, forced airflow, or other special conditions.

Can FXN-SA4 be cut to fit?

Yes, the universal sheet may be trimmed along its official printed sizing grid to the required model footprint. Do not cut other models or make arbitrary modifications.

Where should I install it?

On the enclosure's clean, dry top interior surface, clear of wires and obstacles that would block rising heat. Turn off power and verify de-energization first.

When should it be replaced?

The recommended replacement interval is five years after installation under specified conditions. Inspect periodically and replace immediately after activation or sooner if loose, damaged, obstructed, or visibly abnormal.

Does it replace code-required fire protection?

No. FXN Sticker is an additional layer of localized protection within a compatible enclosure, not a replacement for building fire-safety or electrical protection requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is FireXNull?

FireXNull Inc. is a U.S.-based fire safety technology company specializing in automatic, microcapsule-based fire suppression solutions for electrical and enclosed systems.

What problem do FireXNull solutions address?

FireXNull solutions are designed to mitigate early-stage electrical fires that originate inside enclosures, where traditional fire suppression systems are difficult or impractical to install.

Are FireXNull products fire extinguishers?

No. FireXNull products are supplemental, enclosure-level fire mitigation solutions. They are not handheld fire extinguishers and are not intended for structural or life-safety fire protection.

How does FireXNull technology work?

FireXNull uses heat-activated microcapsules containing a clean fire-suppressing agent. When abnormal heat is detected, the microcapsules activate automatically and release the agent directly at the source of the fire.

Do FireXNull solutions require power or electronics?

No. FireXNull solutions are fully passive and require no electricity, sensors, wiring, software, or external systems.

What materials can FireXNull microcapsules be integrated into?

FireXNull microcapsules can be integrated into polymers, resins, coatings, paints, adhesives, sealants, and fiber-based materials, enabling built-in fire protection at the material level.

Do FireXNull solutions leave residue after activation?

No. The clean agent is electrically non-conductive and residue-free, making it suitable for sensitive electrical and electronic equipment.

Are FireXNull solutions suitable for electrical equipment?

Yes. FireXNull solutions are designed primarily for electrical and electronic environments, including control panels, cabinets, energy systems, and enclosed equipment.

Do FireXNull solutions require maintenance?

No routine maintenance is required beyond visual inspection during normal equipment servicing.

Can FireXNull solutions replace sprinklers or building fire systems?

No. FireXNull solutions are intended to complement, not replace, code-required building fire protection systems.
